A cow elk calling with a sharp, piercing sound is rejecting lessor dominant bulls. A variety of nasal pleading sounds from high to low is telling the bull that she wants immediate attention. Estrus mews of these scales are created by having more space between the latex and the two stepped, beveled back plate with a lower lip step, harder textured cone with large air flow holes. The sounds of this type and magnitude of pleading estrus cows have never been produced from any hand held call before.
