Hoyt Avalon

Question:

I’m new to archery and am trying to upgrade my equipment. I saw a Hoyt Avalon on ebay, current price is $260. I think they list for $399 in US. It is a 2002,  25" model in Green to black. Is this a good riser and how high should I bid? Thanks.

Response:

How high to bid??  Well for starters I wouldn’t go over $400-shipping <BG> Now isn’t this question what makes auctions go ’round <G Seriously, it’s a good riser.  I personally know the seller and you won’t have any purchasing troubles if your legit. Response:

My local dealer charges $369 for the riser, so I wouldn’t go above that. Good luck S

I’m using an Avalon 2001 model Good riser. Quiet, smooth, sturdy. Most prefered riser by many top archers….. But i saw Hoyt’s new riser, Aerotec….pretty cool…. But u look carefully….Aerotec has the same structural built as Avalon….only difference that it has TEC system added to it…same like the Axis Avalon will make a good start for new, serious, archers As for price…i’m from singapore..so i wouldn’t know the market price there

Assuming it is an Avalon Plus in excellent condition, I would not go over $300.  Plain Avalon bows had some cracking problems, so their re-sale value would be substantially lower. Alex     __O        _-<,_       (_)/ (_)

Did you get the green on eBay?  It was a new one.  Went for the same price as the new turquoise one that sold about a week earlier. Norm
