Gyro vanes

Question:

Hi ALL, 2 days ago I got a hint in an archery based www-forum about GYRO-vanes. The vanes should look like Kurleys or spin-wings but made from the same plastic like FFP or Arizona vanes. AND they should have a "foot" like the *normal* vane to glue. Anybody know this vanes and has a address to order? — Sven

Response:

Sven, Gyro-vanes were a soft rubber vane made by the spin-wing people. They discontinued them a few years back (I’m not sure how many), I believe. I think they didn’t perform as well or weren’t as popular as spin-wings (maybe both). I see them turn up still on odd occaisions, so I guess there might be small amounts of stock still sitting on dealers shelves. I don’t know of any, though. Response:

Yes. They are Super Flonite Spin vanes. They are manufactured by Nihon Baymetal in Japan. Otherthan that I can’t help, but you could try finding a Super Flonite dealer and asking them.
